Dr. Roy T. Cunningham, 85, of Hilo died May 11 at home. Born in Pennsylvania, he was a research entomologist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Tropical Fruit and Vegetable Research Laboratory in Hilo and former chairman of the state’s Medfly Science Advisory Panel.
